Hello, Mirage. This is Morgan, Eira's mom. We're both moms, we both know kids can say the funniest things and get up to trouble. My daughter was quite the handful growing up! I was wondering if you had any stories from Oliver's time growing up that stand out like that as being particularly funny or that just show what it was like raising him.

Raising kids is tricky when they have superpowers.

This is Andras, one of the more dangerous of the Goetia, and Macabre’s uncle from his father’s side. It’s apparently uncommon for him to kill his summoner for the slightest mistake in protection wards, which is simply the inherent risk of his summons. Due to this, Heaven can’t undo it. However, this loses him the soul the contract would have been for, but he apparently doesn’t really care about that part.

if he tries to go beyond this type of case, which he has, then the Guardians are alerted. Mom’s fought him before, and apparently he’s a very dangerous foe.

Another dream. Once again I see Selene and Orobas, but this time, they’re with Ollie. Ollie looks…grown here. This has to mean that this is far into the future. He’s 15 now, when his growth hits a snail’s pace. It’ll be a very long time before he looks like an adult, who knows how many millennia that could be.

Looks like he’s made changes to his weapon, and even grown more traits that resemble his father and I. But I also see that he still has his scar, from when we first encountered Phlegethon. I sense he’s happy with these two, so mental healing may still be occurring, but it’s good that it’s occurring in the first place.

May it be so.

Another dream, another person I don’t know. It looked he was having having a tough time getting this armor I’ve seen on one realms’ orcs on. He was pretty polite in how he spoke to me, despite the obvious frustration. He noticed my confusion and asked if I was alright. He was surprised to hear me ask who he was. He said his name was Orobas, and suggested I get some rest if I was having a hard time thinking.

He mentioned he needed to be ready on time for orientation, since he was starting his training with the Guardians later.

You know, the way he spoke and the color of his eyes reminded me of Aria. Also…was that…Caleb’s mace I saw with him?

So apparently Macabre has a decently sized extended family from his father’s side. Halphas has an older brother named Andras, and a twin brother named Malphas, the latter you see here. Apparently he and Halphas have very similar domains, but Malphas is the least successful of the three. He apparently likes using deception and double-talk in his contracts, which definitely goes against the regulations of both Heaven and Hell, so mom has had to deal with him a fair number of times.

Still, all of them are dangerous foes. Says a lot when Halphas, the most successful of them, raking in legions of souls, is considered the nice one.

…you know, have to wonder what their parents were thinking with those names.

Mortals very often come up with amazing stories. Some are thought-provoking, some are exciting, some are somber, and some provide hope. Ollie has come to like Spider-Man comics, which often blend everything I just listed. I get it, regular guy who was granted incredible abilities, and struggles both with the keeping a balanced life and the responsibilities that come with his gift. It’s a hard one, but it’s something worth working at, especially since many of Spider-Man’s struggles are very relatable. Ollie found it neat how different people can pick up the mantle, and he’s come to like the different suit designs, too!

I…had this weird dream. I saw an archer with a moon-shaped bow. She was a sugar glider, but she wasn’t anyone I recognized. She seemed to recognize me, though, said her name was ‘Selene.’ Doesn’t ring a bell. I could sense an odd aura. I could definitely tell Infernal heritage, but the other part I couldn’t place. Mortal? Celestial? It’s weird.

Was this a glimpse into the future? Wouldn’t be the first time. Strange, something about her reminded me of both Vex and Harriet…

Macabre isn’t the only one I know who experienced being taken over by an Archdemon. Turns out Vex did, too. He was working with Marduk to take over a realm out of sheer boredom, but when Marduk attempted to take direct control of Vex when things weren’t going their way, he broke a deal he made with him. This convinced Vex to fight back against Marduk, and with the aid of the local mortals, successfully defeated him.

Vex ended up properly defecting once things were cleared up, but the experience stuck with him. We were being shown what the Champion, Lady Eira, could do with her mastery over water in all forms. She at one point began to levitate us by gently pulling at our very blood. It was actually really cool, but Vex was close to reacting violently. Macabre wasn’t fond of the feeling, either, but he quickly calmed Vex down. Eira had no idea of knowing how Vex would react, and frankly, neither did the rest of us. I’m just glad it was stopped before anything actually happened.

Funny thing is, Macabre, Vex, and Aria all had this gleam to their eyes when I told them that blood oranges were a thing, since demons love the taste of blood. They were confused by the fact that the name referred to the color and not the taste, but they all liked it, anyway. Though they have told me that there actually is a fruit in hell that almost mimics the taste and texture of bloody meat, just not exactly. Kinda weird.

Hello, Mirage. This is Hivemind. I've been asked before if there are any on the Beacon who worship me or consider me some kind of god. Even when I actively refute that claim, and specifically ask for them to stop, I do occasionally find a few people across the galaxy who have formed religious cults with either myself or the Beacon as the core of their beliefs.

I was wondering, considering you're an actual goddess, have you ever had any mortal worshipers?
