Hello, Mirage. This is Morgan, Eira's mom. We're both moms, we both know kids can say the funniest things and get up to trouble. My daughter was quite the handful growing up! I was wondering if you had any stories from Oliver's time growing up that stand out like that as being particularly funny or that just show what it was like raising him.

Raising kids is tricky when they have superpowers.

Another dream. Once again I see Selene and Orobas, but this time, they’re with Ollie. Ollie looks…grown here. This has to mean that this is far into the future. He’s 15 now, when his growth hits a snail’s pace. It’ll be a very long time before he looks like an adult, who knows how many millennia that could be.

Looks like he’s made changes to his weapon, and even grown more traits that resemble his father and I. But I also see that he still has his scar, from when we first encountered Phlegethon. I sense he’s happy with these two, so mental healing may still be occurring, but it’s good that it’s occurring in the first place.

May it be so.

Another dream, another person I don’t know. It looked he was having having a tough time getting this armor I’ve seen on one realms’ orcs on. He was pretty polite in how he spoke to me, despite the obvious frustration. He noticed my confusion and asked if I was alright. He was surprised to hear me ask who he was. He said his name was Orobas, and suggested I get some rest if I was having a hard time thinking.

He mentioned he needed to be ready on time for orientation, since he was starting his training with the Guardians later.

You know, the way he spoke and the color of his eyes reminded me of Aria. Also…was that…Caleb’s mace I saw with him?

Mortals very often come up with amazing stories. Some are thought-provoking, some are exciting, some are somber, and some provide hope. Ollie has come to like Spider-Man comics, which often blend everything I just listed. I get it, regular guy who was granted incredible abilities, and struggles both with the keeping a balanced life and the responsibilities that come with his gift. It’s a hard one, but it’s something worth working at, especially since many of Spider-Man’s struggles are very relatable. Ollie found it neat how different people can pick up the mantle, and he’s come to like the different suit designs, too!

I…had this weird dream. I saw an archer with a moon-shaped bow. She was a sugar glider, but she wasn’t anyone I recognized. She seemed to recognize me, though, said her name was ‘Selene.’ Doesn’t ring a bell. I could sense an odd aura. I could definitely tell Infernal heritage, but the other part I couldn’t place. Mortal? Celestial? It’s weird.

Was this a glimpse into the future? Wouldn’t be the first time. Strange, something about her reminded me of both Vex and Harriet…

Not exactly a question but I heard some of youse like blood so I’ve got a surprise for y’all: pig blood cake and pig intestines stew pizza!

You know, it’s interesting. Turns out the entire reason demons require blood offerings in their summoning rituals…is because they love the taste. Even half-demons like Ollie love it, and are quick to snap up foods made with blood as an ingredient.

Nothing against it, I like the taste, too, but I know it’s an acquired taste among mortals and even many Celestials, just enlightening to know that this is enjoyed by just about all demons.

Thanks for the food, by the way!

So, bringing up Eira again, after some talks with her boss, the leader of the Beacon of Hope, Hivemind, it was decided to allow younger Celestials have a sort of humanitarian outreach/training program there. It’s an opportunity to better understand mortals through a hands-on experience while also taking advantage of things like our natural powers and immortality should things get dangerous. Even a young Celestial is capable of a lot.

Ollie is set to be among their first students, though I’ve been hearing that Caleb and Aria are considering helping out, too. Still being a child came with some, shall we say, awkward first impressions.

First was meeting Kaleb Dalisay aboard the Beacon. Now, Kaleb was a human who through an accident during a genetics test became a quadrupedal dog with limited shapeshifting powers of his own. He didn’t let that stop him from being involved in their activities, so good on him! What didn’t help was that Ollie thought he was a pet. Easy fix, at least.

Then there’s another reason Ollie got involved. Eira Steele has a mastery of aquakinesis beyond what he can do, as well as incredible abilities in cryokinesis and hemokinesis, and that’s not even taking into account her hand-to-hand style! So he’s eager to train under her as well.

Ollie is a great kid with a compassionate heart, though his interactions with mortals has been somewhat limited outside of his paternal grandfather. I do hope that this will be a good growing experience for him.

(OOC: Kaleb Dalisay belongs to @krytusthedreamer-blog, Eira Steele belongs to @cybertherobotdragon, both characters reside in the Beacon of Hope RP

Wildfire here. I don't really have a question, but I figured you, Macabre, maybe even Ollie would be entertained to know that Lilith's current, ah, 'prison sentence'... sits at four years, three months and thirteen days. And, of course, the whole time she is trapped in a mortal, she's trapped in a mortal realm. As such, she must serve this time the same way a mortal would experience time.

It started as a month-long sentence, and I increased it by a day every time she threatened to kill me. She finally stopped with the death threats a few days ago. I think she just ran out of new ones.

Piece of advice to all of you, don’t make threats to a giant dragon. Especially if he can make things “long-term.”
