They couldn’t believe what they saw, you approached the wolf with no fear looking at his leg that was injured and reaching for your backpack and taking out med supplies to clean his wound and wrap it up. Before the wolf walked away he came up to you and bowed his head to touch yours as a thank you for saving him and he turned to walk away and howled. Maybe you were being bise, but you thought you had the most handsome and sexiest boyfriend ever. Sergeant James Buchanan Barnes. You have been dating Bucky for almost a year now and you both were so happy you always wondered if the other shoe would drop. But you never wanted to look a gift horse in the mouth so yeah. You met Bucky one night at a nightclub in brooklyn. You were standing at the bar waiting for the bartender to bring your drink when he came in with his friend Steve Rogers and a few of the howling commandos. As you were turning around with your drink in hand you looked directly into his eyes as he finished talking to steve.

"Being an Avenger was staring to take a toll on Bucky, and his 2 best friends Steve and y/n were starting to get concerned. In this time being an Avenger means the more missions you do, no matter how mundane they are, you are paid very well. The reason Bucky has been so over worked is because of his current girlfriend of 6 months, Susan.
When they first started dating, things were good for the first few weeks, Bucky loved her so much he wanted to do anything he could to please her. What Bucky didn’t know was his best friend y/n was already in love with the man.
Y/N met Bucky Just after everyone came back from the blip. Bucky was going to a local coffee shop to grab something to drink and relax, but when he got there all the tables were taken up. After grabbing his coffee he went looking for a table. Bucky saw her sitting by herself reading her book. He came up to her.
“Excuse me is this seat taken?”
Y/N looks up from her book and see's those beautiful blue eyes.
“Oh of course not please take a seat.”
A small silence falls between them and Bucky started to strike up a conversation about the book she was reading. From that day on they exchange numbers and became fast friends, but she couldn't get those blue eyes out of her mind. After knowing each other for a few days, they finally asked each other what they did for work. Y/N works for 1 of the local high schools in New York. When she asked Bucky what he did he was hesitant to say he was an Avenger. She didn't care what he did for a living she just cared for him as a friend. She was not the superficial type, if you were interesting, Kind, funny and overall caring person you won her over and be her friend for life.
1 day Bucky introduced her to his other best friend Steve rogers and soon they became fast friends. It’s been a year since y/n and Bucky met and things couldn’t be better but she had to hide her feelings from Bucky because she didn’t want to ruin such a great friendship if he didn’t feel the same way. So she kept her mouth shut. But Steve knew and he kept your secret. Then Bucky started dating Susan , they met at a bar while the 3 of you were out having drinks. She seemed nice at 1st but you and Steve started to notice how distant and tired Bucky was when he started dating her. 1 day when you came to the compound to visit Bucky and Steve You heard yelling coming from the living room.
You didn’t want to interrupt so you walked into the room as quiet as you could. It was Bucky on his phone and from what you could tell he seemed to be talking to Susan.
“Baby I’m trying my best here, but there’s no missions I can go on. I’m getting as much money as I can you have to believe me.” You started to get closer to understand what he was talking about.
“Yes I love you but this is getting to be too much for me, you want me to go on these missions and I haven’t seen you in a month. I need a break from all this work.”
You try to sneak by and get to Steve's room as fast as you could, you had to find out what was going on. Your best friend was exhausted and you couldn't understand why, you and Steve had to get to the bottom of this. When you got to his room you knock 3 times you only waited for a few before he opened the door. “Hey sweetie what’s up? Bucky is in the living room .” “I know I just snuck past him, Steve something is going on with Bucky and we need to know what it is. It sound like he was on the phone with Susan he was upset talking about how tired he was and that he was trying to get as much money as he can. What is he talking about?”
“I don’t know if Bucky ever told you but whenever we go on a mission we’d get a substantial amount of money .”
“ Okay that doesn't matter to me at all. Is that why he looks so depressed and tired? How many missions has he been on Steve? “
“I believe 15 missions in the last month. Ugh, I never really noticed it until you just asked me. We need to find out what's going on.”
“Steve, Do you think Susan is using Bucky for his money?”
“If she is, we need to put a stop to this. We are his friends and you have a big heart for the guy. I know you don’t want to see him hurting, neither do I. I want him to be happy with you then that woman, I know you would treat him like how a man should be treated.”
“Lets get our Bucky back.”
Bucky's POV
After getting off the phone with susan, there were a lot of things I had to think about. On one hand, I think I can see myself with her for the long run, but on the other I don't know how much longer I can keep going on missions and keep my sanity. I also feel like I have been pushing two of the most important people I have ever known. Steve has been by me since we were kids, helping me when i finally escaped Hydra and bringing me to Wakanda to help with my recovery. And y/n, I may have only known her for a year but she never turned away from me when she found out who I was. She has been such a ray of light with her optimism and fitting in with my friendship with Steve.
I got off the couch to get some water, when I just remembered I could have sworn I saw y/n come into the room. After drinking my water I went looking for her, maybe she is sitting in my room. When i didn't see her there i went to Steve's room. I went to go knock on the door but stopped hearing Steve and y/n talking about me. I only caught the last part of the conversation saying they were worried about me. I backed away and went to my room to take a quick shower.
When i came out, y/n was sitting on my couch in my room reading a book from my shelf, To kill a mocking bird. She hadn't seen me yet, but as I stood there watching her read, the sun was slightly shining on her and she was so pretty and relaxed on my couch. I never realized how cute she looked reading, eyes squinting at the words, lips moving and the way she turned the pages of the book. I stayed watching her for a few moments more when she looked up smiling and me.
"Oh Hi Bucky, did you have a good shower?"
"Yeah sweetheart. When did you get here?"
"Oh about 15-20 mins ago, you looked like you were busy so i went to find Steve until you were done."
I went to my closet to grab some clothes and change. While I did I was repeating in my mind what her and Steve where talking about. Maybe I have been so preoccupied with missions and susan I have been neglecting them both. After seeing Lisa reading on my couch like she was meant to be there, something i noticed susan never seemed to. How could i be so stupid and not see it in front of me. She was a friend before she knew who I was and after she knew everything she stayed and never made me feel bad about it. I knew she was happy for me when I told her I was dating susan but looking back she looked a little disappointed. Did she like me and I'm just now seeing it? If she does she sure does hide it well. Maybe I need to talk about this to Steve get his advice. I returned to the room and sat next to Lisa.
"So what brings you by today Angel?"
"I came by to see if you wanted to grab some take-out and watch a movie or two."
"I think we can arrange something. What do you feel like having, I can tell F.R.I.D.A.Y to order it?"
"That sounds great, how about some pizza? Do you want to hang in your room or the living room?"
"Lets stay here for a change, its more comfortable."
While I was telling F.R.I.D.A.Y our pizza order, Lisa was getting more blankets and pillows for my bed making us our own personal nest. I went downstairs to grab our pizzas and on the way i went to the kitchen and fished out some beers and water for the night. When i got back to my room, y/n was all set up in the middle of my bed cuddled up in blankets like a burrito. I had to laugh a little bit at her.
"What?"
"Nothing, just admiring how cute and comfortable you look now. Like your ready to go to sleep instead of eating and watching movies."
"I think with the amount of pillows and blankets I got, I might just fall asleep."
"Well lets get to eating this pizza before it gets cold."
As we were eating and watching Sixteen Candles (one of her favorites) I would steal a few glances at her here and there. Look at the way she smiles while watching the movie. No i cant be thinking like this right now, I have a girlfriend.
I go back to watching the movie taking a sip of my beer. As she pokes me in the stomach telling me her favorite part is coming up i hear her laughing at the school dance scene. Man I could listen to her laugh for the rest of my life. I shook my head trying to get these thoughts out. We were long done with the pizza by the middle of the movie while she was 3 beers in. Just before the end of the movie she had fallen asleep on my shoulder. I kissed her on the top of head and laid her on the opposite side of the bed. I went to throw away the boxes and empty beer bottles, when I came back she looked so peaceful. I slid to my side to make sure she had enough room on the bed. I was laying on my back when she shifted and put her head on my chest and wrapped her arm over my torso. My stomach dropped and my heart started beating fast. Oh crap I'm in trouble and I don't know what to do. I heard her mumbling something in Spanish (she’s Mexican American) then she said it a little bit louder “te amo mucho.” Then kissed my chest. Now I definitely need to talk to Steve.
Y\N POV
You woke up the next morning, Wondering what happened last night, when you look over you see that you're sleeping in Bucky's bed. You had to use the bathroom, but didn't want to wake him up. You tried to shift yourself out of his grip, once you were free, you scurry to bathroom. When your done doing your business you wash your hands and face and reflect on what happened. It felt nice waking up in his arms sleeping so peacefully. You wish you could do that for the rest of your life, but he has a girlfriend who your sure is using him for his money. It angers you so much. When you exit the bathroom, bucky is still sleeping so you grab your shoes and leave him a note on the pillow you slept on. You told him you were going to get some coffee and pastries from the coffee shop they met.
She quietly left the room, when she was passing up the kitchen she saw Steve coming in from his run.
"Hey I was just about to go get some coffee for bucky and I, do you want to come along? "
"Sure sweetie let me just get some clean clothes on , meet me at the front entrance."
"OK Stevie."
Ten minutes later you and Steve head off to the coffee shop.
When you arrive there is about 7 people ahead of you in line, while waiting you look around and a few tables away you see susan having drinks with a friend of hers. You elbow Steve and tell him to look to your left. He sees her and it looks like they are having an intense conversation. You tell him your going to stand by and hopefully she won't see you. As you approach they are talking about Bucky, so you take your phone out and pull up your recording app and press record.
As you stand there pretending to look at the mugs and cd's something she says catches your attention.
"You would not believe how much money he gets paid for going on these missions. Just think if I had gone with who I really wanted to which was Steve Rogers just think how much he would be bringing in. I still can't believe he is letting me have most of his money when he does these."
You couldn't believe it, you actually got her saying that she's basically using bucky for his money. You pretty much had everything you needed to tell bucky. You snuck away back to Steve when he just got to the front of the line. You gave the cashier you and buckys order plus asked for some blueberry muffins and a few chocolate chips walnut cookies your favorite. As you were waiting you told Steve what happened. He was floored, now you both just had to figure out how and when to tell him.
You both got back to the compound and as you got up to their living quarters, Bucky was coming from the direction of his room. All mussed up hair and sleepy looking, so adorable. You go to give him a hug.
"Hey did you get my note?"
"I did angel, what did you get me?"
You showed him the big bag of pastries and gave him his coffee (straight black) as always. All 3 of you ate at the dinning table chatting and having your breakfast. After eating you had to head back home to take a shower and run a few errands. You told then both you would be by tomorrow for game night. When you left that gave bucky the opportunity to talk to Steve about last night.
" Hey Steve I need to talk to you about something."
"Sure buck, what is it?"
"Last night when y/n was here I started seeing her a different way that I never thought I could. I saw her in a new light. Plus after the movie ended she fell asleep so I laid her down and I went to throw away the beer and pizza boxes. I laid down and, she scooted over to my side and in her sleep she started mumbling some things in Spanish but I caught the last part of it. Steve she said 'te amo mucho'. I think she told me she loves me."
Steve sat there just listening knowing how much she loves bucky.
"Steve what do I do?"
"Well how do really feel about it yourself? Are you starting to have feelings for her or not, because if not don't say anything it will just make things more difficult for your friendship with her. But if you truly do have strong feelings for her then you have to look at your relationship with susan. Can you let her go to pursue something with y/n?"
"Well things haven't been going so well with me and susan."
"I know buck, I can tell things have been a bit stressful for you lately. Look can you give me a minute I need to shoot a quick text and we can finish this."
"Yeah sure go ahead."
Steve walked out to the hall way and text y/n asking her to send him the voice recording of susan this morning. He let her know that bucky brought up that him and susan are not doing so good and decided this is the time to let him know.
She agreed and sent the recording.
Steve came back into the living room where bucky was just staring at the wall looking like he was thinking.
"Hey you doing ok buck?"
"Yeah just trying to figure out what I want to do."
"Well I have something that may sway you in that decision."
"What is it?"
"This morning when y/n and I were at the Cafe we saw susan having a conversation with one of her friends. So while I waited in line she went by her to see what they were talking about. When she heard them talking about you she started to record. This is what she got."
Steve gave him the phone and pressed play. What he heard shocked him and Steve since he never asked y/n what she exactly said.
When the recording ended bucky was furious. He needed to call susan and completely end things, he can't be with someone who is using him for his money. He gave the phone back to Steve and went to call susan and asked her to come over.
While he was doing that, Steve called y/n and told him what happened.
"Y/N I think you should come over as soon as you can. I think you and bucky need to talk."
"OK I have a few more things to do and I will be over in like 2 hours is that ok?"
"Yeah that should be plenty of time."
Meanwhile, Bucky is waiting for Susan to arrive to the compound. When she arrives she gives a him a hug and a kiss but she can tell he doesn't reciprocate.
"Honey is something wrong?"
"I wanted to see you and talk to you."
"OK sure, did something happen on your last mission?"
"No everything went fine, but I do have a question.” They sat down on the couch “Do you really love me?"
"Of course I do honey, what's this about?"
Bucky had Steve send him the recording of Susan and her friend. He took his phone out and pressed play. When she started hearing her voice her blood ran cold and eyes wide. As soon as the recording ended, she looked at him and saw rage in his eyes.
"Honey please don't be upset."
"Upset!? I'm well past upset. How could you do this? I thought you loved me but all you wanted from the beginning was my money. Plus you didn't even want me you wanted my best friend!?"
"Honey please.."
"Save it I don't ever want to see you again. You completely betrayed me, you're lucky I'm not having you dragged out of here."
"Fine, truth is I completely wasted my time with you anyways."
"Get the hell out of here!"
As susan walked out, you were coming back in. You looked at her with complete disgust.
"What are you looking at?"
"Just watching the trash walk themselves out."
Susan was about to launch herself at y/n but she swung her right arm back and punched her in the nose.
F.R.I.D.A.Y informed everyone what had happened and rushed to the ground floor. Just as Steve and bucky got there, they watched as susan was being dragged off by security and y/n putting an ice pack on her knuckles.
"Did you just punch her in the nose?" Steve had asked her.
"Well yeah, I gave her a dirty look and insult and she was about to attack me so I beat her to it."
Bucky was is shock, he never thought y/n to be the violent type. His sweet bookworm angel punched someone. He just stood there staring at her with so much pride and adoration. He knew then that he had to tell her no matter the consequences.
He walked up to her taking her injured hand in his looking it over, her breath hitched at his delicate touch.
"Does it hurt?"
"Just a little bit." Sounding breathless.
He looks her in the eyes and it never falters. This is his moment.
"Angel, I have to tell you something now before I lose my nerve. I finally see what’s been in front of me all this time, a woman who is strong, caring, smart, she throws a mean punch and I’m completely in love with her." He laughs.
Her eyes go wide at his confession, she never thought he had the same feelings for her as she did for him. She had to say something before he took it back.
"Buck, I've loved you for so long, I never thought you would see me as anything other than a friend. I didn't want to ruin the best friendship I've had in years. I was so alone when the blip happened and when everyone came back I still felt alone until I met you."
A small tear rolls down her cheek and bucky wipes it away with his thumb. He looks down at her lips and back to her eyes and she sees it.
He comes closer to her lips and she meets him halfway. The kiss is soft and gentle at first, bucky drags his tongue to her bottom lip for entrance and she let's him. As soon as their tongues meet they both moan into the kiss and it deepens from there. Hungry and desperate, the outside world doesn't exist in this moment. They finally pull away for air, leaning on each other's foreheads.
"Damn!”
"Is this really happening, am I dreaming? "
"Yes it is, I hope you know from now on I'm never letting you go."
"I think I can handle at."
You hear a throat clear, Steve was behind bucky. You look over and he has a big grin on his face.
"I'm glad you pulled your head out of your ass and saw what was there all along jerk."
"Shut up punk."
Bucky looks back at y/n.
"How about I take you out on a date? Tomorrow night?"
"I would really love that bucky."
"Come on let me take you to the med bay to get that looked at properly."
As they head to the elevator waiting for the doors to open, they look at each other one more time. As the doors close they have one more kiss.
You never know when your future is right in front of you in the form of your best friend.

It’s been a year since y/n and Bucky met and things couldn’t be better but she had to hide her feelings from Bucky because she didn’t want to ruin such a great friendship if he didn’t feel the same way. So she kept her mouth shut. But Steve knew and he kept your secret. Then Bucky started dating Susan , they met at a bar while the 3 of you were out having drinks. She seemed nice at 1st but you and Steve started to notice how distant and tired Bucky was when he started dating her. 1 day when you came to the compound to visit Bucky and Steve You heard yelling coming from the living room.
You didn’t want to interrupt so you walked into the room as quiet as you could. It was Bucky on his phone and from what you could tell he seemed to be talking to Susan.
“Baby I’m trying my best here, but there’s no missions I can go on. I’m getting as much money as I can you have to believe me.” You started to get closer to understand what he was talking about.
“Yes I love you but this is getting to be too much for me, you want me to go on these missions and I haven’t seen you in a month. I need a break from all this work.”
You try to sneak by and get to Steve's room as fast as you could, you had to find out what was going on. Your best friend was exhausted and you couldn't understand why, you and Steve had to get to the bottom of this. When you got to his room you knock 3 times you only waited for a few before he opened the door. “Hey sweetie what’s up? Bucky is in the living room .” “I know I just snuck past him, Steve something is going on with Bucky and we need to know what it is. It sound like he was on the phone with Susan he was upset talking about how tired he was and that he was trying to get as much money as he can. What is he talking about?”
“I don’t know if Bucky ever told you but whenever we go on a mission we’d get a substantial amount of money .”
“ Okay that doesn't matter to me at all. Is that why he looks so depressed and tired? How many missions has he been on Steve? “
“I believe 15 missions in the last month. Ugh, I never really noticed it until you just asked me. We need to find out what's going on.”
“Steve, Do you think Susan is using Bucky for his money?”
“If she is, we need to put a stop to this. We are his friends and you have a big heart for the guy. I know you don’t want to see him hurting, neither do I. I want him to be happy with you then that woman, I know you would treat him like how a man should be treated.”
“Lets get our Bucky back.”
Bucky's POV
After getting off the phone with susan, there were a lot of things I had to think about. On one hand, I think I can see myself with her for the long run, but on the other I don't know how much longer I can keep going on missions and keep my sanity. I also feel like I have been pushing two of the most important people I have ever known. Steve has been by me since we were kids, helping me when i finally escaped Hydra and bringing me to Wakanda to help with my recovery. And y/n, I may have only known her for a year but she never turned away from me when she found out who I was. She has been such a ray of light with her optimism and fitting in with my friendship with Steve.
I got off the couch to get some water, when I just remembered I could have sworn I saw y/n come into the room. After drinking my water I went looking for her, maybe she is sitting in my room. When i didn't see her there i went to Steve's room. I went to go knock on the door but stopped hearing Steve and y/n talking about me. I only caught the last part of the conversation saying they were worried about me. I backed away and went to my room to take a quick shower.
When i came out, y/n was sitting on my couch in my room reading a book from my shelf, To kill a mocking bird. She hadn't seen me yet, but as I stood there watching her read, the sun was slightly shining on her and she was so pretty and relaxed on my couch. I never realized how cute she looked reading, eyes squinting at the words, lips moving and the way she turned the pages of the book. I stayed watching her for a few moments more when she looked up smiling and me.
"Oh Hi Bucky, did you have a good shower?"
"Yeah sweetheart. When did you get here?"
"Oh about 15-20 mins ago, you looked like you were busy so i went to find Steve until you were done."
I went to my closet to grab some clothes and change. While I did I was repeating in my mind what her and Steve where talking about. Maybe I have been so preoccupied with missions and susan I have been neglecting them both. After seeing Lisa reading on my couch like she was meant to be there, something i noticed susan never seemed to. How could i be so stupid and not see it in front of me. She was a friend before she knew who I was and after she knew everything she stayed and never made me feel bad about it. I knew she was happy for me when I told her I was dating susan but looking back she looked a little disappointed. Did she like me and I'm just now seeing it? If she does she sure does hide it well. Maybe I need to talk about this to Steve get his advice. I returned to the room and sat next to Lisa.
"So what brings you by today Angel?"
"I came by to see if you wanted to grab some take-out and watch a movie or two."
"I think we can arrange something. What do you feel like having, I can tell F.R.I.D.A.Y to order it?"
"That sounds great, how about some pizza? Do you want to hang in your room or the living room?"
"Lets stay here for a change, its more comfortable."
While I was telling F.R.I.D.A.Y our pizza order, Lisa was getting more blankets and pillows for my bed making us our own personal nest. I went downstairs to grab our pizzas and on the way i went to the kitchen and fished out some beers and water for the night. When i got back to my room, y/n was all set up in the middle of my bed cuddled up in blankets like a burrito. I had to laugh a little bit at her.
"What?"
"Nothing, just admiring how cute and comfortable you look now. Like your ready to go to sleep instead of eating and watching movies."
"I think with the amount of pillows and blankets I got, I might just fall asleep."
"Well lets get to eating this pizza before it gets cold."
As we were eating and watching Sixteen Candles (one of her favorites) I would steal a few glances at her here and there. Look at the way she smiles while watching the movie. No i cant be thinking like this right now, I have a girlfriend.
I go back to watching the movie taking a sip of my beer. As she pokes me in the stomach telling me her favorite part is coming up i hear her laughing at the school dance scene. Man I could listen to her laugh for the rest of my life. I shook my head trying to get these thoughts out. We were long done with the pizza by the middle of the movie while she was 3 beers in. Just before the end of the movie she had fallen asleep on my shoulder. I kissed her on the top of head and laid her on the opposite side of the bed. I went to throw away the boxes and empty beer bottles, when I came back she looked so peaceful. I slid to my side to make sure she had enough room on the bed. I was laying on my back when she shifted and put her head on my chest and wrapped her arm over my torso. My stomach dropped and my heart started beating fast. Oh crap I'm in trouble and I don't know what to do. I heard her mumbling something in Spanish (she’s Mexican American) then she said it a little bit louder “te amo mucho.” Then kissed my chest. Now I definitely need to talk to Steve.
Y\N POV
You woke up the next morning, Wondering what happened last night, when you look over you see that you're sleeping in Bucky's bed. You had to use the bathroom, but didn't want to wake him up. You tried to shift yourself out of his grip, once you were free, you scurry to bathroom. When your done doing your business you wash your hands and face and reflect on what happened. It felt nice waking up in his arms sleeping so peacefully. You wish you could do that for the rest of your life, but he has a girlfriend who your sure is using him for his money. It angers you so much. When you exit the bathroom, bucky is still sleeping so you grab your shoes and leave him a note on the pillow you slept on. You told him you were going to get some coffee and pastries from the coffee shop they met.
She quietly left the room, when she was passing up the kitchen she saw Steve coming in from his run.
"Hey I was just about to go get some coffee for bucky and I, do you want to come along? "
"Sure sweetie let me just get some clean clothes on , meet me at the front entrance."
"OK Stevie."
Ten minutes later you and Steve head off to the coffee shop.
When you arrive there is about 7 people ahead of you in line, while waiting you look around and a few tables away you see susan having drinks with a friend of hers. You elbow Steve and tell him to look to your left. He sees her and it looks like they are having an intense conversation. You tell him your going to stand by and hopefully she won't see you. As you approach they are talking about Bucky, so you take your phone out and pull up your recording app and press record.
As you stand there pretending to look at the mugs and cd's something she says catches your attention.
"You would not believe how much money he gets paid for going on these missions. Just think if I had gone with who I really wanted to which was Steve Rogers just think how much he would be bringing in. I still can't believe he is letting me have most of his money when he does these."
You couldn't believe it, you actually got her saying that she's basically using bucky for his money. You pretty much had everything you needed to tell bucky. You snuck away back to Steve when he just got to the front of the line. You gave the cashier you and buckys order plus asked for some blueberry muffins and a few chocolate chips walnut cookies your favorite. As you were waiting you told Steve what happened. He was floored, now you both just had to figure out how and when to tell him.
You both got back to the compound and as you got up to their living quarters, Bucky was coming from the direction of his room. All mussed up hair and sleepy looking, so adorable. You go to give him a hug.
"Hey did you get my note?"
"I did angel, what did you get me?"
You showed him the big bag of pastries and gave him his coffee (straight black) as always. All 3 of you ate at the dinning table chatting and having your breakfast. After eating you had to head back home to take a shower and run a few errands. You told then both you would be by tomorrow for game night. When you left that gave bucky the opportunity to talk to Steve about last night.
" Hey Steve I need to talk to you about something."
"Sure buck, what is it?"
"Last night when y/n was here I started seeing her a different way that I never thought I could. I saw her in a new light. Plus after the movie ended she fell asleep so I laid her down and I went to throw away the beer and pizza boxes. I laid down and, she scooted over to my side and in her sleep she started mumbling some things in Spanish but I caught the last part of it. Steve she said 'te amo mucho'. I think she told me she loves me."
Steve sat there just listening knowing how much she loves bucky.
"Steve what do I do?"
"Well how do really feel about it yourself? Are you starting to have feelings for her or not, because if not don't say anything it will just make things more difficult for your friendship with her. But if you truly do have strong feelings for her then you have to look at your relationship with susan. Can you let her go to pursue something with y/n?"
"Well things haven't been going so well with me and susan."
"I know buck, I can tell things have been a bit stressful for you lately. Look can you give me a minute I need to shoot a quick text and we can finish this."
"Yeah sure go ahead."
Steve walked out to the hall way and text y/n asking her to send him the voice recording of susan this morning. He let her know that bucky brought up that him and susan are not doing so good and decided this is the time to let him know.
She agreed and sent the recording.
Steve came back into the living room where bucky was just staring at the wall looking like he was thinking.
"Hey you doing ok buck?"
"Yeah just trying to figure out what I want to do."
"Well I have something that may sway you in that decision."
"What is it?"
"This morning when y/n and I were at the Cafe we saw susan having a conversation with one of her friends. So while I waited in line she went by her to see what they were talking about. When she heard them talking about you she started to record. This is what she got."
Steve gave him the phone and pressed play. What he heard shocked him and Steve since he never asked y/n what she exactly said.
When the recording ended bucky was furious. He needed to call susan and completely end things, he can't be with someone who is using him for his money. He gave the phone back to Steve and went to call susan and asked her to come over.
While he was doing that, Steve called y/n and told him what happened.
"Y/N I think you should come over as soon as you can. I think you and bucky need to talk."
"OK I have a few more things to do and I will be over in like 2 hours is that ok?"
"Yeah that should be plenty of time."
Meanwhile, Bucky is waiting for Susan to arrive to the compound. When she arrives she gives a him a hug and a kiss but she can tell he doesn't reciprocate.
"Honey is something wrong?"
"I wanted to see you and talk to you."
"OK sure, did something happen on your last mission?"
"No everything went fine, but I do have a question.” They sat down on the couch “Do you really love me?"
"Of course I do honey, what's this about?"
Bucky had Steve send him the recording of Susan and her friend. He took his phone out and pressed play. When she started hearing her voice her blood ran cold and eyes wide. As soon as the recording ended, she looked at him and saw rage in his eyes.
"Honey please don't be upset."
"Upset!? I'm well past upset. How could you do this? I thought you loved me but all you wanted from the beginning was my money. Plus you didn't even want me you wanted my best friend!?"
"Honey please.."
"Save it I don't ever want to see you again. You completely betrayed me, you're lucky I'm not having you dragged out of here."
"Fine, truth is I completely wasted my time with you anyways."
"Get the hell out of here!"
As susan walked out, you were coming back in. You looked at her with complete disgust.
"What are you looking at?"
"Just watching the trash walk themselves out."
Susan was about to launch herself at y/n but she swung her right arm back and punched her in the nose.
F.R.I.D.A.Y informed everyone what had happened and rushed to the ground floor. Just as Steve and bucky got there, they watched as susan was being dragged off by security and y/n putting an ice pack on her knuckles.
"Did you just punch her in the nose?" Steve had asked her.
"Well yeah, I gave her a dirty look and insult and she was about to attack me so I beat her to it."
Bucky was is shock, he never thought y/n to be the violent type. His sweet bookworm angel punched someone. He just stood there staring at her with so much pride and adoration. He knew then that he had to tell her no matter the consequences.
He walked up to her taking her injured hand in his looking it over, her breath hitched at his delicate touch.
"Does it hurt?"
"Just a little bit." Sounding breathless.
He looks her in the eyes and it never falters. This is his moment.
"Angel, I have to tell you something now before I lose my nerve. I finally see what’s been in front of me all this time, a woman who is strong, caring, smart, she throws a mean punch and I’m completely in love with her." He laughs.
Her eyes go wide at his confession, she never thought he had the same feelings for her as she did for him. She had to say something before he took it back.
"Buck, I've loved you for so long, I never thought you would see me as anything other than a friend. I didn't want to ruin the best friendship I've had in years. I was so alone when the blip happened and when everyone came back I still felt alone until I met you."
A small tear rolls down her cheek and bucky wipes it away with his thumb. He looks down at her lips and back to her eyes and she sees it.
He comes closer to her lips and she meets him halfway. The kiss is soft and gentle at first, bucky drags his tongue to her bottom lip for entrance and she let's him. As soon as their tongues meet they both moan into the kiss and it deepens from there. Hungry and desperate, the outside world doesn't exist in this moment. They finally pull away for air, leaning on each other's foreheads.
"Damn!”
"Is this really happening, am I dreaming? "
"Yes it is, I hope you know from now on I'm never letting you go."
"I think I can handle at."
You hear a throat clear, Steve was behind bucky. You look over and he has a big grin on his face.
"I'm glad you pulled your head out of your ass and saw what was there all along jerk."
"Shut up punk."
Bucky looks back at y/n.
"How about I take you out on a date? Tomorrow night?"
"I would really love that bucky."
"Come on let me take you to the med bay to get that looked at properly."
As they head to the elevator waiting for the doors to open, they look at each other one more time. As the doors close they have one more kiss.
You never know when your future is right in front of you in the form of your best friend.

Maybe you were being bise, but you thought you had the most handsome and sexiest boyfriend ever. Sergeant James Buchanan Barnes. You have been dating Bucky for almost a year now and you both were so happy you always wondered if the other shoe would drop. But you never wanted to look a gift horse in the mouth so yeah. You met Bucky one night at a nightclub in brooklyn. You were standing at the bar waiting for the bartender to bring your drink when he came in with his friend Steve Rogers and a few of the howling commandos. As you were turning around with your drink in hand you looked directly into his eyes as he finished talking to steve.
As soon as he saw you he walked right over to you with determination. Your breath hitched as he was walking towards you mid drink. He stopped about a foot away from you, boring his eyes into yours.
Hahahaha oh I would like to have seen what that looked like as well. I picture him standing in front of the stage slapping his hands on it and yelling at y/n for an answer with the biggest smile on his face.
I recently watched Hazbin Hotel and Hellava Boss. Very mature themes, but wonderful songs and animation. A truly fascinating character is Stolas. He so cute and I love his voice. There are a lot of others I enjoyed too in both series. May be making some plush of them in the near future. For now enjoy my art ♡♡
