Tomo in mentor mob au?

she would constantly nag saiki about telepathically communicating with aliens until she convinces him to go on another road trip to show him that they are, in fact, real! during the ride he's more focused on a sick mob (and the possibility that he might get puked on) and by the time they get to their destination he's already asleep on serizawa's shoulders. they dont meet aliens that day.

With mentormob What is the thing kusou was/is most opposed to learning?

i think he'd have the most trouble accepting his powers. He wants to be a normal boy and he wouldn't understand how he can still be an average person while having his powers. After all, normal people can't read other's thoughts or see through their skin. He wants to be average because he doesn't like his powers, and they irritate him in many small ways. It will take a lot of time and work to accept them.

In mentorbmob have they ever been theyre for one of saikis power breakdowns? And How do you Think they difffer from mobs?

theyre definitely there for some of them, since he'd hang out with the s&s crew/mob almost anytime he's out of school. whenever a new power shows up the immediate reaction is panic since they dont know how to undo it, like turning people into stone or accidentally smashing a wall or becoming a giant. reigen would always try to stay casual but internally freak out, and mob would be able to stay more stable but won't know the solution a lot of the times.

with mob's experience and reigen's basic logic, they're able to calm saiki down enough and fix the issue (or just be there until the issue fixes itself). sometimes some of the other characters would be there with actual common sense/its so crazy it might actually work solutions that help everything instead.

if ure talking about his "accidents"... bro im not good with angst. and there is barely in saiki k. due to his nature of being a comedic slice of life character he'd just never ever accidentally harm others when he does blow up (not including little funny bonks to the head, again-- slice of life comedy mindset). everyone would find it odd but very relieving. the mp100 crew arents strangers to property damage so they wouldnt make a huge deal out of that part, and although saiki wouldnt either, he would find it weird that its the same with the rest.

mob would be very worried about the way saiki views his own powers or how dangerous he may be. after everytime saiki has an accident, mob would freak out not because of the danger, but because hes worried so much saiki wouldnt trust himself anymore. most of the time saiki wouldnt bee too worried about it but would actually find himself feeling much much lighter and better after their conversations (theyd have a personal sit down after every breakdown and talk about their feelings and whatnot). affection usually grows on saiki very slowly, and although he pretty much always adored mob for his normacy and calmness since the start, its with these deep convos that they really bond, and saiki finds genuine trust in mob's mentorship-- not with how he handles being a psychic who wants to stay average, but his spiritual and mental advice. saiki finds a close brother figure in him.

Can we have some smakechi (Well asumi rn) in the mentor mob au?

is smakechi "small akechi" lmao to tell you i was confused!

he is there in the au, he was in the first meeting, or are you asking for hcs?

like said, after finding out that reigen was not an esper a few weeks after meeting, he was more condescending towards him, or at least he ranted non-stop about the history and lack of success of famous conmen and psychic frauds. from then on out, anytime any of s&s acquaintances claimed to be an esper, he would ask for proof, and his mood would instantly turn into childish glee when proven.

not as much as saiki, but akechi does have respect for mob, and talks his ear off especially, when together. he's good at reading his emotions (tho its easier now post-canon) and sometimes when mob is lost on how to express himself (to someone who isnt saiki, cuz he can read him easily-- with his mind) he will over-explain it for him, and probably make him feel mildly awkward/nervous. ("thats how i was feeling? oh i guess i was kind of frustrated... huh..")

akechi doesnt visit nearly as often as saiki, so its not like hes quite comfortable with the staff, but whenever he gets saiki to talk in class, saiki would usually talk about them, so he does learn and know about s&s without interacting with any of them.

Whats the rapport between s&s and the adult saikis?

lol so you remember that episode where they meet saikis friends and sob endlessly? well, that times a thousan cuz not only has he made a friend, but he also has people looking out for his psychic abilities.

kuniharu and reigen make a wonderful comedic duo (whos mere existence is like a cruel joke to kusuo haha), though kuniharu is a bit put off by all the spirits stuff and really the whole shady agency in general. he is used to psychics, but not ghosts! kurumi and reigen get along well too. he's a bit overwhelmed by her ditziness from time to time, but they sometimes get into deeper conversations when they are left by themselves. they talk about how they handle their powerful young boys and about the need to stay moral with those powers. kurumi is very influenced by reigen and probably supports/trusts him more than she should. she probably hasnt heard the news that he isnt psychic yet...

dimple isn't really around when the saikis are visiting, kind of his minimal relationship with the older kageyamas. he hasnt revealed himself to them yet.

kuniharu is very friendly to serizawa, as he finds him a great person to talk their ear off to and complain about anything as serizawa just kinda awkwardly nods his head along. kuniharu isnt as charismatic as reigen, but he is somewhat, and beside the pathetic whining that kuniharu lets out from time to time, serizawa likes him. his relationship with kurumi is more polite, and he is more troubled and flustered about how to act around her.

Okay we heard that reigen wouldnt like kusuke, we probably knew before also BUT

*can i have some details on the hatred?*

(only if wanna tell us tho)

I wouldn't call the relationship between the saiki bros "protective" but kusuke doss tend to make harsh opinions on the people around kusuo. He especially looks down or at least is condescending towards "common" people with no talents, so you can imagine how he views reigen, especially since he works around many psychics.

In this au kusuke is 7yos so truthfully he's not all that mature, especially when he see reigen-- an adult-- and he acts extra egotistical because of his genius compared to him. At this point reigen is, pathetically, used to psychic kids rolling their eyes at him, but kusuke can be cruel, and would probably rope him into some sort of strange game/test/challenge like he did with kaidou and nendou in canon, from time to time.

I think eventually they'll talk it out and reigen would use his magic words to make kusuke feel a bit more validated, but kusuke will most likely start off by denying any insecurities and the torment will never stop. He likes making an adult squirm, and unfortunately he doesn't favor serizawa by much. He would go a bit softer for mob, but only for the reason thar kusuo would force him to. Needless to say, the s&s crew aren't his biggest fans.

Surprisingly, kusuke gets along well with ritsu! They have much in common. Ritsu would worry that kusuke might go down a similar path as him, so while he does enjoy watching him terrorise reigen, he would invite him to go out often and let him act like an actual child. He would make sure to praise kusuke whenever he does something well, even if it's the usual, which is something everyone else in his life is so used to that they neglect to do. They would never admit to anyone else that they enjoy their time together though. But ritsu is fond of kusuke.

hello!! love your art and fics—you have such a gift for emotion if that makes sense??

for your mobsaiki au, how would reigen and mob deal with saiki’s increasing powers, like his medusa vision? would they support saiki’s eventual use of his limiters or would they suggest a more natural/different solution?

thank you so much!!! <3

i feel like maybe at the start reigen wouldnt like them for the simple reason that he probably wouldnt like kusuke, but i think the limiters are inevitable.

i do think some stuff mob will try to work out with saiki tho. like how he cant control his powers during sports, or after he transforms his body.

saiki also had "accidents" that blew up the house when he was younger, and i think mob and saiki will try to figure out together if theres some emotional baggage that relates to it. when mob encourages saiki to not be ashamed of his powers and in turn, to use them more often, saiki will have a better time keeping them at bay. he'll still have to wear the glasses and limiters though.

hc that he went out shopping with teru and ritsu for the glasses and, at the time, was annoyed with ritsu for whatever reason. so when teru suggested the green glasses, even though ritsu was making a face, saiki happily took them. (despite the fact that they reminded him of dimple. or maybe because of it. but he'll never tell)

What if in the mentor Mob AU, Mob ended up learning some of Kusuo's extra esper abilities. Either bc little Kusuo wanted to teach him, or bc Mob figured that, if he learned how to do it, he could better guide Kusuo how to control them

ooh thats interesting! hmm though i dont think that could probably happen. maybe small things like how to upgrade his windows pc using his powers but since mob is really powerful, i feel that he would have learned everything he could possibly do with his powers (unless maybe if some of them need emotional expression). and theres such a big power difference between saiki and mob. maybe hed teach him unique ways to use the powers he already has though, or small useless stuff...

"master, look what kusuo-kun taught me" he proceeds to somehow extract the cocoa out of a hot chocolate drink and ends up with a glass of hot milk.

"thats... good, mob"

do you have Any more thoughts about the au Where saiki is younger than mob and akechi shows him to spirits consulting cause he destroyed a classroom?

Oh sure!

saiki would compare reigen to his father haha theyre pretty similar ("the way i see you... You're kind of like my dad" "R-really?!" "You both have brownish hair and are both whiney. You both like to take advantage of my power but at least my dad is upfront about it... And unlike you, he's been in a happy relationship since he was 19" "...")

Since saiki is usually silent and apathetic, mob would think he's actively hiding his emotions, but wouldn't really know how to bring it up. Saiki would read his mind and more than anything would be slightly worried about all the flashbacks mob is having about his past "incident" and would also feel too awkward to talk about it.

Serizawa probably has the impression that saiki doesn't like him much because he's so blunt but truthfully, aside from mob, he is saiki's favourite from the agency. He has this sort of human respect for serizawa.

At the start, dimple feels kind of smug that saiki is this powerful esper but cant see him. But eventually he gets bored and reveals himself to saiki. He is very confused when saiki seemingly still cant see him. Apparently though its just saiki completely ignoring his existence.

Saiki is annoyed by tome, and feels like shes distracting mob when saiki is already hanging out with him. He gets irritated by it constantly. Tome just wants to know if he can shoot a communication beam towards space and talk to aliens. she would get along better with akechi but she wouldn't understand if he believes in aliens or not because he both talks about all the reasons it makes sense that aliens exist and about all the reasons why they probably don't.

saiki wouldn't mind hanging out with ritsu, but would probably inwardly think he's a bit too dramatic. Ritsu would feel exasperated that reigen has an even younger apprentice that he can use.

When, at the start, reigen confesses that he isn't psychic (word hasn't spread much by then) akechi is highly angered and offended by this, which you can tell by his word vomit. He's very polite about it though.

When out together, saiki likes to stay very close to mob, and maybe even grab onto his uniform jacket unconsciously <3 although in his mind he's still monologuing about how annoying and stupid the world is. Mob doesn't really react to it all. He probably hasn't noticed.

When mob sees that saiki likes coffee jelly, he is overjoyed that saiki is showing his enthusiasm for it. Some day, they will mix coffee jelly and milk together, and while they eat, saiki would decide that even if he doesn't really need mob's help, he doesn't want to ever stop visiting him at the agency <3

silly comic about an au where after saiki destroys his elementary school classroom he lets akechi convince him to seek someone who can help keep his powers under control and mob is determined not to let this kid suppress his emotions like he used to do.
