Bethyl family! I am so excited! I entered a piece of my Bethyl art in a TWD/Canva contest, and I was just notified that I am one of twenty finalists! There will be five winners with the prize being a trip to a finale event in November in LA. Even though this isn't a "birthday" themed edit, I created this as a birthday gift.

I hope your day is filled with beauty, Doe, and just a little enchantment.

I’ve been away from the Bethyl fandom for several months now because of a difficult family health issue...and I have missed it so much. I’ve wanted to participate in the Winter of Bethyl events hosted by the @ultimatebethylficlist, but it has just been impossible to find heart to put into any sort of creativity. I did, however, have this series of edits I created several years ago and never posted because I was too self-conscious of their AU-ness I guess. Now, I don’t know...it just seemed like the right time to share them for the Valentine’s Day prompt...my Outlander inspired Daryl and Beth Highland Wedding series.

Happy Thanksgiving to all the the beautiful Bethylers out there! I am thankful for our fandom and all of you I have come to call my friends. I feel truly blessed.

These are a little bit different from my usual style of photo editing, but it was something that was inspired by the Bethyl fic In Toto Corde by SquishyCool @im-immortal, which can be found here. 

This fic...wow...so tragic but so beautifully written...while reading it, it played out in my head with the most vivid imagery, this star-crossed couple fighting for love, fighting for life...and sacrificing for that love. It haunts me in the best way possible. 

I don’t know if I did it justice, but I was compelled to create something for it. I couldn’t decide if I liked bloodier Daryl better or not, so I thought, why not post both versions. 

Seriously, go read this story, but prepare your heart.

It was so much fun to participate in the 2021 @bethylbigbang event! I had a wonderful author partner, @raginglittlehurricane​. Getting to work with her to create some art pieces for her fic Lydia, Oh Lydia was such an amazing experience.
