do you ever watch a movie and go 'well i HAVE to write about this?' because i just watched secret society of second-born royals and all i kept thinking was 'i want this but more.' like i wanted more eleanor. more of her and sam's relationship. and a lot more of everything else but its 1:30 am now and i cranked this out in just over an hour

THEY’RE SO GOOD!!!! i’ve been listening to movie scores pretty regularly since my freshman year of high school and those two are my TOP two like nothing can dethrone them and i don’t think anything ever will!!!! they’re absolutely fantastic works of music and listening to them makes me SO happy like. i cant explain the little serotonin boost i get when i put them on but its legit!!!

my favorite magic system is actually the one from wizards of waverly place! that’s probably a cheesy answer, but i love the powers being in a fuse box, i love the competition, i love some of the silly rules.. a lot of magic systems end up very similar in my brain, so the details of that one (like the one family wizard, the competition, the fun portal) really stand out in my mind. and also i just think it was impressionable on me because it was one of my favorite shows as a kid (also alex keeping her wand in her boot..fucking legendary)
probably cookies! every christmas season my mom and her younger sister get together and have cookie day where they just bake ALL DAY for cookies to last basically the entire season for both our families. so that was probably something i was a part of really early on!

The best part is the story behind it. After Edgar Wright stormed off the project, this movie almost got canceled. It took Peyton Reed literally finishing it with his crew in a single year, and Paul Rudd contributing on the writing to get it done within the deadline. And apparently, because they had to rush production ON a reduced budget no less, the effects weren’t even close to done by the time they had to put out Trailers and TV spots, and most of what was finished, or near done, had to be used in the theatrical spots. So Rudd and Douglas here supposedly came up with this idea, on the spot, as it would at least get people talking and avoid reusing too many of the same shots.
