HIII i was wondering, does bridgewater have any queer rep in it? my favorite thing about podcasts is how casually diverse like 99% of them seem to be and it'd especially be awesome if one of those had Misha Collins in it lol

hey!! that's one of my favorite things about podcasts too!! and casual diversity is something that's really important for me in my work personally - I don't think I've ever written anything with 100% straight people because that's just not representative of the world I live in!

that said, while there is a canonical wlw couple in Bridgewater (two side characters from S1 who very briefly appear in S2), there's not really any significant queer rep in it and I wouldn't want to represent otherwise. that's largely a function of the fact that there's not really any kind of emphasis on romance (light spoilers ahead for S1) - there's two heterosexual relationships that are sort of in the first season? but one is just at the "oh god I'm awkward around my crush" phase and the other is a long established love affair where one of the people is no longer around (....or is he?)

Bridgewater is definitely a story about unconventional and complex family dynamics, specifically ones between parent/child. there's definitely even more kinds of relationships explored in season 2, but still with a focus on friendship/found family, because that's really what the show is about! so beyond those two straight "couples" (scare quotes bc, lol, neither of them are actually together) and Maria/Katie, there's not anything established about any of the character's sexualities one way or another
