Friday night pizza party at The Pizza Hut Between Worlds. In 1985 LIFE Magazine photographed the opening of the first interdimensional Pizza Hut restaurant, where creatures from across the realms mingled with human Travelers as part of an ongoing galactic cultural exchange negotiated between Ronald Reagan and the demon realms in 1982, following the infamous Macys Thanksgiving Day "Blood Parade."

Pizza, a favorite American human food, received mixed reviews from its other-worldly tourists. Slaargloths of Vetaa 7 were so delighted they negotiated a trade agreement to import American dairy cows to make cheese (the deal fell apart after the Slaargloths kept exsanguinating the cows instead of teleporting them, confusing cow milk with cow blood). Vulzaxicans of the Banished Spires, however, were enraged that the meat on their pepperoni pizza was dead and demanded toppings of live Grurpworms (which the restaurant did not have, offending the Vulzaxicans and almost causing an intergalactic incident).

For the most part though, a good time was had by all. The same cannot be said for the humans who traveled to the Elgor Cluster the following year to try Utix’aakla (loose translation: squishy meatbags), which it turned out was the Elgorian delicacy of live humans. The exchange program was shut down shortly thereafter.
