The Journal of an Immortal

This is one of my favorite stories to write. I was inspired by a film I watched about an immortal man who’d live since the time of the cavemen. I can’t remember the name, but the movie pretty much had him telling a group of people about his life ad they had to decide for themselves whether he was telling the truth or not. There were no flashbacks, but he recounted his long life. In my version this character only remembers about as much as a person with a normal life span would. We rarely remember our entire lives and the further back it goes it becomes blurry or nonexistent. I figured a person who lived thousands of years would have no memory of their origins either and so they kept journals in order to remember their past life.
