Most Exciting Features Of The Renault Kiger

The sub-compact SUV segment has become one of the highest-grossing car segments in our country very quickly. People love the affordability and dimensions of compact SUVs and every manufacturer is competing here. There are more than 8 cars competing in this segment alone. Nissan Magnite which was recently launched is the latest entry in the segment. The Renault Kiger is heavily based on the Nissan Magnite. Below are 5 exciting features the Renault Kiger has to offer.

1. Sunroof

While the Kiger models spotted before launch was heavily camouflaged, we could notice the bulged roof indicating the presence of a sunroof already. If its production-ready model comes with this feature, the Kiger is the most affordable subcompact SUV to offer a sunroof.

2. Engine and Performance

The Renault Kiger comes with two engine options: 1.0L three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine and 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine. Both engine options come with a 5-speed manual transmission option with some form of automatic transmission as well. New launches like the Kia Sonet and Toyota Urban Cruiser have raised the stakes high in the compact-SUV segment.

3. Design

The Kiger is more feature-loaded than the Magnite. The Renault Kiger is heavily based on the Renault Triber in terms of features. The list includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument console, 3-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls, automatic climate control, push-button start and more. There’s a newly-designed dashboard with horizontally placed AC vents.

As compact SUVs are known for their good looks, Renault has ensured that Kiger is wrapped in a trendy package. Some key features include split LED headlamps with LED DRLs, prominent front grille, clamshell bonnet design, dual-tone alloy wheels, and Kwid-style LED taillights. Kiger may come with a new dashboard with horizontally positioned AC vents.
