“Dean, this feels wrong.” 

Her whisper barely made it across the space between them, but Dean heard her, his green eyes squinting at the broken down barn. He shifted his weight and raised his gun, arms straight and steady, head clear and focused. 

“It’ll be fine. Go around the side,” he shot back, cocking his head to the left. “I’ll meet you around back.” 

A shiver traveled down Y/N’s spine, but she held strong. Heels planted in the soft earth, she cocked her pistol and held it tight. She nodded in agreement and took a breath, pushing off of the ground and breaking into sprint that took her around the corner and out of his sight.
