It's finally here, the night of the particle accelerator, all of his plans are coming true. Everything went to plan but one thing-- he didn't foresee falling in love, how will this affect his plans moving forward?
Warnings- contains mega cute fluff--- had to break this into an extra chapter---

December 11th, 2013;

"Thank you. My name is Harrison Wells, tonight the future begins. The work my team and I will do here will change our understanding of Physics, will bring about advancements in power, advancements in medicine, it will bring about advancements period. This is the future and trust me that future will be here faster than you think."

You stood there, watching Harrison, his confidence showing through.

You stood at the top of the stairs, as close as you could in amazement, watching Harrison as he gave his speech, the light reflected in his beautiful blue eyes.

“Just like we rehearsed.”

A sudden noise broke your thoughts, looking down you couldn’t see what had happened, there were too many people blocking your view, and Harrison’s sarcastic words hushed the crowd.

“Well, it would appear tonight’s entertainment is not limited to the stage.”

The crowd’s laughter echoed through the open space. A reporter lifted her hand to signal that she had a question.

“What’s the first thing you’ll do once the accelerator is online?”

“Is crack open an expensive bottle of Dom Perignon with my staff because I ride them very hard and they’ve earned it. Yes?”

Feeling the heat spread across your face, you instinctively brush your hair, trying to hide. Catching Harrison’s amused smirk as he eyed you from the stage, a smile crept through your lips.

“Those protesting this accelerator believe it could open a black hole in Central City but is it not more likely to cause a benevolent phenomenon like a Higgs Boson bridge?”  A dark-haired lady asked, not sounding impressed.

“The only phenomenon that will occur this evening is one that has been calculated to the tiniest detail, to the tiniest decimal point.”

“He practically lives at Star Labs, if only they knew how hard he works.”

“So, you’ve foreseen every possible outcome?” She replied quickly, not missing a beat.

“Yes, I have Miss?” He turned slightly with a questioning look.

“Mrs Marlize DeVoe.”

Harrison looked down, lost in thought for a moment.

“DeVoe… DeVoe? I expect that would make the gentleman to your right, your husband?... Clifford DeVoe… I’m a big fan of your work, Sir, I believe it’ll have an enormous impact on our future. Thank you for coming and Professor… Good luck.” His lips curled into a knowing smile, continuing to hold eye contact with the man in the crowd.

Everyone made their way inside Star Labs, Harrison pulled you into a corner, outside the cortex, leaving you both alone.

“Enjoy the show?” He smirked.

“You’re so weird.” You joked, lightly elbowing his arm.

“I am weird?” He asked while running his hands around your waist.

“Yes, you.” You motioned with your hands towards him.

He looked himself over, amused.

“I think I’m going to need more than that.”

“You get a something face sometimes.” You replied simply.

“Something face?” The enjoyment showed through his smile.

“You get a weird look sometimes...” You avoided making eye contact this time, feeling embarrassed you looked down at his shoes, and suddenly you felt his warm breath on your ears as he leaned in closer.

“Hmm?”

“It’s when the real you shines through which you don’t normally show the public or really anyone.” You noted.

Hearing footsteps approaching, you both moved further apart,

before Harrison could reply Catlin appeared.

“Dr Wells, can I have a moment?”

You watched as Cait searched through her Ipad for whatever notes you knew she had.

“I’ll meet you guys in there.”
