I was supposed to upload the demo update for Alpha, Beta, Omega last week as planned. However, the files that were on my USB were corrupted, which altered the data. I spent much time trying to retrieve it, but to no avail. I was so mad that I actually convinced myself that I posted about what had happened. However, now in a much calmer state, I see now that I just gaslighted myself 😅🫠

Anyways, I'll be building back the chunks of text that were lost bit by bit because I want to get something up before the end of the month. But for the time being, I need you guys to vote for who you would like to have a "run-in" with for Vice Virtue?

Unfortunately, I've had to push back the demo update for Alpha, Beta, Omega because I had to do a bunch of stuff in January. I have been working on it, but unfortunately, I haven't gotten to Zero's portion, which was previously voted for.

So I'll be releasing the update sometime this month instead, now that everything has calmed down a bit on my end. This update will be my main focus, so stay tuned for that.

As mentioned before, I'm planning on releasing an update this month for Alpha, Beta, Omega. However, I won't be able to cover everything, so from now on. I'll be posting voting polls to decide on a couple of things from time to time, which is where you guys come in. Please keep in mind that whoever you choose below will be in accordance with the MC's work expertise.

Great question! So typically, in modern-day terms, "sloth" as a deadly sin, also known as a "vice" would translate to individuals having a lack of enthusiasm for life. Straying away from God's light and denying the gift of life, suicide is classed as a sin in Christianity because Christ died for you. Only for some people suffering from depression to essentially throw that gift back in Jesus' face.

Which manifests in the game as MC's being overcome with suicidal thoughts, resulting in self-harm as they struggle to really do the inner work to get better. For example, failure to properly engage with Tori in your therapy sessions. Or, struggling to find a healthy outlet for your negative emotions that doesn't result in harming yourself in the process.

Later, this sin will manifest in other ways, e.g. MC's skipping meals or struggling to maintain basic upkeep at times. So, in essence, the sin "sloth" really just means a "laziness for life." Where MC's are just "too lazy" to properly live, where they become numb to the world around them. Desperately seeking an escape however, each sin manifests differently in other characters depending on their personality.

I have some other agents in the works who have the sloth vice. However, they don't necessarily cut themselves. They might choose to disengage from people, for example. As they're simply "too lazy" to connect to others and form lasting bonds that tie them to this mortal plane called life.
