The Process
Throughout the process, I can't lie, I fell in love with the posing alone after hearing he was energetic. Decided to go for some good dynamic posing with a line of sight that I felt highlighted their arm-warmers and that awesome jelly-like tail.
I've always been a sucker for green and for once I vibe with this overall saturated palette; which is shocking as an artist addicted to pastels.

The Process
I saw Arumi's character and honestly was a little stumped at first, I've always struggled to draw characters without knowing their 'vibe' or general personality so I was thankful later that they sent further references that certainly showed an adorably goofy side. Sadly I felt I couldn't do them justice in a conventionally cutsy pose in my current style so instead I compromised with full goofball! Rolling over with a giant smile this is by far one of the poses I both regret not referencing but also would genuinly dread hunting for a similar pose so it's awesome how it turned out pretty okay.
Colouring was a simple job, a gentle palette accented by the saturated pink and the golden earrings I certainly learned I need to work on my stripe work. Past that though I'm generally proud of the outcome and thankfully Egg liked it too.
