If you don’t know, I’m working on an album called “This Isn’t Home” that I hope to release in November with all of the songs I’ve written about my experiences with Averno. If you don’t know what Averno is or what happened to me and my friends, I suggest reading the doc linked in the bio of @exverno on instagram, but long story short, my friends and I were manipulated into joining a cult. We were used for our work and were manipulated and abused for the sake of content and to make the leader feel powerful. I finally want to share the art I made during and after that time in my life to hopefully help others cope with and understand their own feelings about whatever they might have gone through or might be going through in their lives. I just want to let you all know that you are not alone, your feelings are valid, and you’re not crazy. You deserve kindness, love, healthy relationships, and respect of your boundaries. Please, never settle for less than that. Much love to every single person who has supported me before during or after Averno. I finally found a therapist to work through all of the damage, so I feel like now is a better time than ever. I’m proud to finally start making art for me again after more than a year of recovery.
