Yes, Feyre foreshadowed this in ACOMAF:

I think Elain—Elain would like it, too. Though she’d probably cling to Azriel, just to have some peace and quiet.”

Which we see in ACOWAR:

Elain sat silently at one of the wrought-iron tables, a cup of tea before her. Azriel was sprawled on the chaise longue across the gray stones,

But Azriel asked softly

He gently took her hand

Azriel gently removed the gag

his voice soft as night

Elain was distraught and depressed when she arrived in Velaris and she absolutely needed to heal from that. And Azriel was someone who never pushed her to talk about things, who sat silently with her allowing her to process her own thoughts and emotions. He took care of her and was protective of her in exactly the same way Nesta did and that's what she needed at the time.

But Elain is healing. Not completely but she's not the same girl who needed peace and quiet and sheltering.

Azriel is not changing along with her to support this new version of her and that's the problem.

When Feyre first met Tamlin, she needed to recover from those years of poverty. She too needed peace and quiet to rebuild the broken pieces of her and halt that fight or flight mode she'd been experiencing since she first walked out into those woods.

But after she had the time and safety to heal and after her experience UTM, she began needing something different and Tamlin refused to adapt to the changes in her. She no longer needed peace and quiet and that became a threat to Tamlin's protective nature. Once he was able to fully defend her again, he didn't want Feyre involved in anything dangerous. He didn't support her desire to do more and be included in more.

That sounds a whole lot like another Male with another Archeron sister.

Elain is not that same girl who was just Made and needs sheltering. She can handle being spoken to like a grown ass women and deserves to be given a chance rather than dismissed and underestimated, especially behind her back.

Elain said:

  • You cannot resent my decision to lead a small, quiet life while also refusing to let me do anything greater.”

Az said:

  • There is an innate darkness to the Dread Trove that Elain should not be exposed to.”

Tamlin said:

  • “I’m sorry,” Tamlin said, reaching for me. I stepped out of his grip. “It’s too dangerous.”

Elain said:

  • “I am not a child to be fought over.”

Az said:

  • I’ll defeat him with little effort.” Pure arrogance laced every word,

Tamlin:

  • The King of Hybern said from his throne, “We made a bargain. I give you over,

Honorable Mentions:

Nesta to Tamlin:

  • You colluded with him. Because you thought Feyre was your property."

Azriel and Rhys:

  • Tell me how it’s possible that my two brothers are with two of those sisters and yet the third was given to another. Rhys’s face drained of color. You believe you deserve to be her mate?”

Az thinking of Elain:

  • "she had no idea"

Feyre / Tamlin:

  • Feyre,” he said, reaching for me, but I stepped out of range. “Why do you need to know these things?
  • Tamlin hasn’t said … ” And why would he tell me? But there were so many patrols, so many meetings I wasn’t allowed to attend, such … tension. He had to know. I needed to ask him—demand why he hadn’t told me

No Az isn't a bad guy and maybe he would never take things with Elain to the level Tamlin took them to with Feyre. But the parallels in the way they treated the sisters is too strong to ignore.
